At the recently held 11th International Conference on Trends in NanoTechnology (TNT), Braga, Portugal, the poster presented by Dominic Lepage on “Hyperspectral Imaging of Surface Plasmon Resonance Induced by Quantum Semiconductor Nanostructures” was awarded “The best poster presented by PhD Students at TNT 2010”.
One of the main objectives of the “Trends in Nanotechnology” conference is to provide a platform where young researchers can present their latest work and also interact with high-level scientists. TNT conferences are an attractive venue for industrial, academic and governmental organizations to share common objectives and drive the commercialisation of nanotechnology discoveries. The TNT 2010 attracted almost 400 participants and, overall, 20 awards were given to young PhD students for their contributions presented this conference.
